Dad Shared Heartbreaking Photo Of Son With Pneumonia And Suspected Coronavirus


A father shared a heartbreaking photo of his son with pneumonia and suspected coronavirus.

The baby boy, who has a defected trachea, was rushed to hospital and will need surgery.

Posting the picture on Twitter, the father wrote: “Today, my gorgeous boy was rushed to hospital, he’s currently got pneumonia and been tested for Covid-19 and in isolation with his mummy.

“We found out he has a defected trachea too which will need surgery. I can’t get to him and I’m broken.”

The heartbroken dad said that his baby developed a horrible cough and was later put on oxygen in hospital.

Twitter users reached out to the dad, with one commenting: “I’m so sorry to hear this. I hope he has a speedy recovery.”

Another wrote: “This is heartbreaking, I hope he heals soon.”

A third said: “I don’t know you but I wish you all the luck in the word for your little boy to get better!”

Someone else added: “Ah man I hope he recovers quickly!”

This comes as PM Boris Johnson announced all schools will close and may not reopen before the 6-week summer holiday.

“I can announce today, that after schools shut their gates from Friday afternoon, they will remain closed to most people, from further notice,” he said.

Private schools, nurseries and further education colleges will also follow suit. GCSE exams and A Level will be cancelled, the PM added.

The Education Secretary also announced free school meals for those who need it.

“We will not hesitate in bringing forward further and faster measures where we think that is necessary…” he said. “We rule nothing out.”
