So when 16 years old Cyntoia Brown got that chance, she took it and killed the man who had bought her to live a free life. But unfortunately, she was convicted for his murder and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
The women who were herself a sex trafficking victim was punished again for doing the right and finally after 15 years of her time in jail, she was finally set free by the authorities.
Cyntoia Brown belongs to Tennessee and after spending 15 long years in jail she was finally walked out on Wednesday before the sun came out after celebrities like Rihanna and Kim Kardashian railed for her.
She is going to be under supervision for the next 10 years so that she does not commit another crime as she shot Johnny Allen, the man who bought her in 2004.
Cyntoia Brown’s attorney has requested the media to give the woman some private time before she is ready to face the world outside.
Cyntoia Brown says she wants to work and help women who are struggling in the same way. She wishes to empower women to speak out and to be able to fight for themselves. She says that she is happy that people voted to get her out and she is going to make them all proud.
