To solve the puzzle, you can try to follow the elimination process. Let’s start by ruling out the writer. He would likely not use his right hand for writing if he was left-handed. Meanwhile, the blacksmith and the woodcutter couldn’t get their job done without using their dominant hand.

This leaves us with the photographer and the waiter. The photographer is instinctively pressing the shutter button with his right finger and this implies that his right hand is the dominant one.

As for the waiter, he is carrying the tray with his right hand because this allows him to serve the drinks to his customers using his dominant hand – the left one!
