KFC and Crocs collaborated and unveiled their shoe collaboration at Fashion Week in New York City. The fried chicken clogs feature KFC bucket stripes, fried chicken imagery, and chicken-scented Jibbitz drumstick charms on top.
The classic clogs will be available for purchase from crocs.com for $59.99 and will be available in the spring. “Combining the unmistakable look of our world-famous fried chicken and signature KFC bucket with the unparalleled comfort and style of Crocs, these shoes are what fried chicken footwear dreams are made of,” Andrea Zahumensky, the chief marketing officer of KFC US, said in a press release.
“As Crocs continues to create new, unexpected brand collaborations, we’re thrilled with this ‘bucket list’ partnership with Kentucky Fried Chicken that will bring fans an unbelievably fun and fashionable take on our classic clog,” Terence Reilly, Crocs’ senior vice president and chief marketing officer, said in the press release.
Launching the exceptional design, Crocs’ website says: “Do you love world-famous fried chicken? Do you love Crocs? Do you love brand spokespersons like Colonel Sanders? Then, boy, howdy, do we have something for you.
“Covered in a fried chicken print and a striped base, these will make your dreams of wearing a bucket of chicken finally come true.”
“Finally. Your two favorite brands, immortalized on a rivet to prove a collaboration happened. Each pair of co-branded footwear comes with two Jibbitz charms made to resemble and smell like fried chicken. Not for human consumption.”
The Internet was divided with their opinions as some found the clogs amazing while others were not impressed with the design.
One person wrote: “For real though they kinda look fire.”
“There are so many things wrong with this that they all cancel each other out and this is perfectly normal,” said another.
Another wrote: “This can’t be real. KFC is getting out of hand.”
