Traveling Couples Shamed For Taking Pictures While Hanging Out Of Moving Trains

Traveling couples who have been posing for the ‘perfect’ picture while hanging out of moving trains have been slammed by the members of the public for their “stupid” stunts.

The dangerous trend began after Portuguese bloggers known as Raquel and Miguel took an original shot while riding an old train in Sri Lanka.

Soon enough, other bloggers and couples followed their example and risked their lives in an attempt to create the perfect Instagram picture.

Only days ago, Jean and Camille, a London-based couple, took a similar shot while leaning out of a train that was moving across a steep bridge.

While some travelers seem to appreciate the effort behind the dangerous pictures, the majority disagrees with the dangerous act and condemns people who promote it.

“You’d risk your lives just for a picture? Just so you can upload it on social media? Or do you do this because this gives you ‘the rush?’ How is this sensible? Anything could’ve happened,” one person responded to the bloggers’ photo.

“I would never promote a picture like this since there are not few people stupid enough to feel encouraged to try and recreate the idea. What you do and the models do is only their own responsibility. But you should see your responsibility for influencing others,” another one suggested.

Since the trend began surfacing the internet, dozens of couples, as well as individuals, have shared similar photos. Some of them decided to stay on the safer side and just poke their heads out while others expose their whole bodies out of the moving trains.

After a wave of heated comments, Raquel defended the trend she and her partner started by saying:

“It’s better to go to the places before you say these kinds of rude things about people you don’t know at all. Even for not a fit person, we don’t think this is dangerous at all. It’s much more dangerous some hikes we did before.

“If you did this journey you’d also know that the train goes really slow, especially when crossing bridges. It was moving super slow, almost not moving, my hair was barely moving.”
