This is a shocking moment a woman maced a couple at a dog park in California just because they were not wearing face masks while eating lunch.
The incident occurred Thursday afternoon when Jarret Kelley, his wife Ash O’Brien, and their puppy went to Rhodes Dog Park.
A concerned witness filmed the confrontation with the video showing a woman wearing a black face mask attacking Kelley with pepper spray.
O’Brien immediately tried to take the pepper spray bottle from the woman’s hands and the attacker eventually stopped when other witnesses confronted her.
One witness can be heard saying: “What is your problem? You just maced him!” Another one said: “That’s just wrong!”
Another female witness added: “You just maced them and their food because you disagree.”
The woman and her pooch walked away from the scene without saying another word.
O’Brien and Kelley explained that they had removed their masks at that time as they were eating lunch. She said the woman suddenly called them ‘idiots.’
“We were not wearing masks because we were eating. You can’t wear a mask and eat at the same time,” O’Brien wrote on Facebook.
“Then she started saying more stuff and I told her to leave the park and stop harassing us,” O’Brien added.
She also said that the woman walked toward them and deployed pepper spray. “She then came right up to our table wear we were eating, pointed the mace at me first and got a little on me, and then my husband stepped in and took the entire can.”
The couple had to visit a hospital for Kelley, who was temporarily blinded by the pepper spray.
