A couple claimed they were being discriminated against after they were removed from a ferry for not wearing face masks.
The white middle-aged couple were seen arguing with NYC ferry workers on the top deck of the boat after it docked in Brooklyn Bridge Park.
The captain ordered the man and woman to disembark as they refused to wear face masks.
The couple defended themselves for 45 long minutes when NYPD officers arrived to remove them from the ferry. Other passengers also told the couple to leave so the vessel could continue to sail.
The woman told Gothamist: “I’m just so fed up. This has been going on since March, and my husband is f**king pissed off. Every time I have to commute to Manhattan, it’s a f**king process.
“If we were f**king black, I can guarantee you that guy’ – the captain – ‘would never come out and tell us put a mask on.”
Her husband added: “Right, because Black Lives Matter.”
The two said they had a constitutional right to ride the vessel without face masks and claimed they both suffered from a medical condition.
“These people are just doing what the government is telling them,” the furious woman said of the masked passengers.

The couple also presented their situation to NYPD officers, accusing the captain of ‘shaming’ and ‘targeting’ them.
“Because we can’t wear a mask, we’re being discriminated against,” the man expressed.
One of the cops tried to de-escalate the situation by asking for proof of their medical condition but they did not present any certificate.
The couple were then handcuffed and removed from the boat while fellow passengers cheered and applauded, with others shouting: “Thank you, NYPD!”
