A married couple is going viral after planning their own re-wedding after the husband came out as a trans woman.
While the statement ‘love is all about compromise’ might seem a little mind-boggling to plenty, this couple is the perfect example that nothing is impossible if you really try.
A married couple reportedly planned their own re-wedding after one of the members revealed their trans woman identity.
Meet Jae and Rayna Harvey. They are two peas in a pod and according to them, they believe love always conquers all hurdles and obstacles that come their way. Hailing from Somerset in England, the couple says they first carried out their wedding in the state of Texas in the year 2018.
However, after a really short span of time, Rayna revealed how she came out as a trans woman, post the couple’s wedding.
Speaking to plenty of media outlets about her journey, Rayna adds how she had always suppressed her true self for the sake of others, ever since she was 11. But now, she felt the time was right to come clean as it was a ‘now or never’ sort of moment.
“When I did it, I knew it was the right decision. This is because I felt so liberated towards the end of it all. And in case you’re wondering how she did it, well, it was the couple’s honeymoon where she felt it was the right time to reveal her feelings on the matter.
“It was just such a relief that I could put our feelings out on the table, getting rid of something that was truly overpowering me for so long,” she adds. The fact that Jae accepted her as a trans is truly something that she will be grateful for the rest of her life, she adds.
Now, the couple is busy putting the final touches on their grand re-wedding. Here is where both brides plan on donning the color black, a very non-traditional look that goes right in line with their black and white themed event!
