Following three years after the two lovebirds first tied the knot in 2007, Anne started noticing changes in Bill’s behavior whereas he would frequently forget things.

After Bill got diagnosed with dementia, his wife continued taking care of him for more than a decade until he completely forgot about her and couldn’t even remember her name.

Convinced that Anne was his new girlfriend, Bill had once again fallen in love with his wife from scratch before proposing to her for the second time.

“He absolutely hasn’t known my name for a long time. He always used to call me darling anyway. But all that had gone over the last 12 months,” Anne expressed.

“So this is why this was so unexpected and so amazing. So I just said ‘ok, that would be lovely Bill.’ And he said ‘ok, well when can we do it?’ I said, ‘Well the girls are coming around on Saturday, do you want to do it then?’ and he said yes.”

While Anne believed that her husband would most likely forget about the proposal, Bill allegedly reminded her of their agreement on a daily basis.
