Wedding is all about the couple.
It’s not about what color your parents want or which hotel your friends would prefer. It’s all about what the groom and bride want, and one couple flew their chopper away when they chose to have a finger lickin’ KFC-themed ceremony!
Harrison and Cann from Queensland just became the first couple in the world to have a KFC wedding after the fast-food giant launched the wedding service in 2019.
Even their guests did not know about their theme until they arrived at their wedding!
The duo beat off competition from 2,000 people by gushing about their love for one another and making their own version of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme tune.
“We’re over the moon to have been selected for the first ever KFC Wedding and having the Colonel present on our big day took us back to the first meal we shared together,” Harrison and Kate said.
“Our friends and family were stunned when they arrived to find out it was actually our wedding day – and not just any wedding but a KFC wedding.”
The wedding also featured a KFC-themed wedding cake, KFC buckets, a KFC Food Truck, a photo booth, and a Colonel-style singer.
KFC CMO Kristi Woolrych said: “We’re delighted to see Kate and Harrison get married and celebrate their love for each other over a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken with their nearest and dearest.
“We hope it’s a day they will remember for the rest of their lives. We can’t wait to see the next lucky couples have their very own KFC Wedding.”
For this couple who had their first date at a KFC branch way back in 2017, it was a dream come true. Congratulations!
