What do you think being a good neighbor is? Normally, you would define someone as a good neighbor if he or she is being friendly and kind.
For instance, they would wave at your kids, or carpool together. It’s also about offering to help out another neighbor in need.
Although this may sound pretty easy, this story is about two people who went above and beyond for their neighbor.
It all started when Audrey asked her neighbor Tisha and her husband Kevin if they could watch her kids for the night.
She explained that she had to go to the hospital to get some tests done – she wasn’t feeling well these days, and had scheduled for an appointment to find out why.point 355 |

Even though their home was already packed with their own five children, Tisha and Kevin did not even think twice before saying yes.point 109 | They were happy to help their neighbor.point 142 | 1
So, Audrey’s three kids spent the night at their house. And the next day. And the day after.
It turned out that Audrey had stage two esophageal and stomach cancer, and she was terminal.
Although devastated, Audrey had to fight – for her kids. But before she went back to the hospital, Audrey had lots of important things to do, such as making sure her kids would be taken care of just in case she didn’t make it.
Sadly, though, she couldn’t think of anyone to be their legal guardian.
So, Audrey decided to take her chance and ask her neighbor, Tisha, who graciously helped her out at her time of need.
Audrey didn’t really expect Tisha and Kevin to agree, since they weren’t really close.
But, she still decided to explain her situation and ask them to do the unthinkable.
To Audrey’s surprise, Tisha and Kevin agreed to take in Audrey’s three children.

Shortly after, Audrey passed away, and Tisha and Kevin are working selflessly to provide care and support for these three kids who had to face their mom’s death.
When Fox 5 Surprise Squad heard about this amazing couple, they decided to go in and help them out. As you could see from the video, Tisha’s house was in desperate need of renovation in order to fit all eight children.
