While deputy Justin was on his way to the training he passed through the town of Daniel where he saw a deer struggling to get out of the water of a frozen lake.

The deer was trapped and could not do it on its own so he radioed that he was on this particular scene and soon was joined by Deputy Josh Peterson of Sublette County Sheriff.

He came on the scene and turned his body camera on to record the incident.

RUMBLE

Right in front was Deputy Justin trying to make a loop out of the rope to drag the deer out of the water.

He made a loop, through it on the deer and trapped him. Then he pulled him out of the water and the poor deer was so cold that it could not even move.

Deputy dragged him out of the water and onto the ice. He then took the rope loop off and tried to make the deer stand but it was too cold to stand or even move.

It tried but fell on his side. Deputy then rubbed its body to try to make him stand but did not work so he got on the job himself. Deputy Justin took off his jacket, and took the deer in his arms and held him.

He then walked out of the lakeside with the deer in his arms. Yes, it was a struggle but if the deer had been left there, it would have frozen to death. The next day when Deputy Josh went to see the deer, it was long gone back into the wild.
