Twenty years after he was convicted of being a pimp, Taylor has been offered a job as Seattle’s community liaison, whereas his job involves assisting the city in closing the gap between its law enforcement and residents by proposing recommendations for policing alternatives, de-escalation, and community engagement.point 574 | 1

As a part of his $150K a year contract, as Seattle Times reported, the pimp turned activist has secured an office in the city’s Municipal Tower. Reportedly, he has also created and taken over the title of a “street czar.”

As Taylor insists, he is the right person for the job due to his ability to talk to both gang members and prostitutes as well as the authorities.

“Black people are not normally paid for positions nor their organizations but white people with the same positions are paid and this is an ongoing problem not only here but all over this country,” Taylor insisted according to KOMO News.

“White people have been paid for some of the same stuff and nobody has ever said anything about it. But the moment a black man demands respect and you value the work and you want to use my credibility, that should have some value to it.”

As Taylor added, he “has the right to be paid” for what he brings to the table and for what his organization can provide for the city of Seattle.

“Black people as a whole have not been in a place to be compensated for their genius or their work for a very very long time,” he added.
