As a coin-marked snake interrupted the prayers and crawled out of Israel’s Western Wall, many believers expressed claims that the prophecy about coming of the Messiah and the end of the world is about to get fulfilled.
The video that was captured shows the snake scaring away a pigeon and leaving crowds of believers gobsmacked.
The incident was soon picked up and shared by Hebrew bloggers who pointed out that the pigeon fleeing from the snake symbolizes that we live in “dangerous times” and that the end might be near.
“The evil inclination, personified by the snake in Eden, will make a resurgence in the days before Messiah,” the bloggers wrote according to the Breaking Israel News.
“Just as the pigeon is safe so long as it seeks shelter among the stones of the Temple Mount, the Jews are protected by the Torah commandments.
“When the pigeon comes out from the stones or the Jews move away from the Torah, they are in danger.
“We are truly in the dangerous times that directly precede Mashiach (Messiah),” the site added, relating to several references of the Messiah the Savior in the Old Testament.
The snake crawling out of Israel’s Western Wall follows several similar incidents that have been interpreted as religious signs.
Around four months ago, a massive rock fell from the wall and nearly crushed the woman who was praying beneath.
As one kabbalist suggested, the incident asked for the Third Temple to be built. The stone fell on the morning after Tisha B’Av, a fast to commemorate the first two temples’ destruction. Apparently, the Third Temple’s construction is supposed to suggest the Messiah’s coming.
Not long after the falling stone, the Dome of the rock inside the Temple Mount Compound was surrounded by a large dust cloud for several minutes with rabbis suggesting conflicts are about to take place.
