College Student, Asian, Walking Home Gets Ch*ked And St*bbed By Man Possibly Linked To Past Asian Hate Crimes In Brooklyn


On her way home, Cindy, who only discloses her first name due to privacy, had been walking home and had been slashed across the hand.

The man who had been involved is a wanted criminal, police are currently looking for him in Brooklyn.

The 25-year-old-woman tells interviewers that it will be a long time before she has fully recovered from the attack since it has left her emotionally wounded.

She tells interviewers, “I couldn’t walk in the street at night alone anymore.”

On the crosswalks of where the crime happened, police forces have gotten a hold of camera surveillance, linking the man towards the February assault that also happened near Dekalb Avenue and Skillman Street.

The suspect had followed her around 11 pm when she started to walk home. She continues, “When I slow down, he slow down. I speed up, he speed up.” Cindy keeps telling her story and how horrifying the incident was, since she tried to change directions in order for the suspect to lose her – but unfortunately he had caught up to her.

Not only did he slash her hand but had grabbed her by the neck, choking her and whispering, “Be quiet — be quiet I got a knife — and I just start screaming.” In the midst of it all is when it happened, splicing the middle of her hand open but she fought back, ripping off his mask in the process.

He ran away once his identity was vulnerable to her, not even stopping to threaten her further. From her suspicions and witness, investigators tell the interviewers that he had ran down south on Skillman Street.

Residents along the neighborhood are cautious and upset upon hearing the situation that had ensued. The man who is wanted is about 20 to 30 years old, and police are still looking for him.
