It is a dream for people to become a celebrity, having people follow you left and right, going to high profile parties, having fans all around the world.
Many people fail to achieve this dream, while some get to experience it without any effort.
The same is the case with Scott Blower, a 47 year old gardener from the town of Sale in Greater Manchester. He is often confused for Cillian Murphy, as he looks exactly like his character of Tommy Shelby from the gangster show Peaky Blinders on BBC.
His looks are so similar to the character that he often gets hounded by fans across the town in bars and pubs. He even gets paid huge amounts of money to dress up as the gangster and pose with fans for photographs at the Peaky Blinders Bar situated in Manchester.
People usually end up screaming upon seeing him but eventually lose their excitement after knowing it’s not the actual actor. All of this started years ago when he show first aired.
People would come up to Scott and tell him that he is the spitting image of Cillian Murphy, whom Scott did not know at the time.
Scott has often got free beds when he is out with his friends, something which his mates loved. But Scott does not usually take advantage of his looks and always tells people, especially women that he is not the actual actor.
Often stopped in malls, restaurants, pubs, the gardener has to pull out his phone and show people his Instagram page to prove that he is not Cillian Murphy.
Scott actually met his partner, Nicola from Urmston, at a bar where he was in character. Nicola never feels insecure with Scott getting all this attention, especially from female fans.
She adds that she and him have a great connection personally which is what attracted her to him in the first place.
Scott is happy with the fact that he’s similarity with the actor gets him jobs where he is not usually breaking his back gardening.
His friends and family also share the same mind set as he does when it comes to his unofficial job as Cillian Murphy look alike.
