Fans spent hours staring at the black hole that Fortnite live-streamed on Twitter, leaving players with no clue as to what happens next.

The game’s live stream to mark the end of Season 10 turned social media into a frenzy as many people believe the black hole tells them that ‘this is the end.’

While the black hole is expected to be in preparation for Chapter 2, many players are still panicking that their insanely expensive skins may have disappeared in the process.

One mom Kayla Williams, told Mirror Online: “My son is heartbroken, he’s spent a massive £3,000 on this game since he started playing in season 2.

“What are Epic going to do? People saying the game has ended for good so do we get full refunds on the money we spent because no game means no nothing so we lose out!”

Another parent, Sam Russ, said to the news outlet: “My 10-year-old saves up for the new season to come out so today very excited, couldn’t wait to purchase Fortnite 10, then to be horrified, crying his heart out, lost his money, and he saves hard to buy skins.

“It’s the end of the world for him as he knows it.”

People on social media are also venting the same sentiments.

Developer Epic Games hasn’t said anything about the upcoming event but the company has gone silent. All official Fortnite tweets have been deleted except for the black hole live stream.

The company’s Trello page to track in-game problems is also empty. When fans checked the game’s status, all it says is ‘anomaly detected.’
