Newly single Lady Gaga and her A Star Are Born co-star Bradley Cooper have rocked the stage at the Academy Awards as they performed Shallow on Sunday night.
During their intense and emotion-filled performance, Irina Shayk, Bradley’s partner and the mother of his 1-year-old daughter, appeared to have been cheering for the pair from the audience.
Following the touching performance of Shallow, however, social media users quickly suggested that there’s something cooking up between the main stars of the film.
While Gaga appeared at the Oscars alone for the first time ever since her engagement fell apart, Cooper arrived together with his mum and his model partner.
Despite Irina and Bradley marking their love with their 1-year-old daughter, fans are convinced that Cooper and Gaga have feelings for each other. The wildest conspiracy theorists even went as far as suggesting that Lady Gaga is planning on stealing Mr. Cooper from his partner.
As seen in one picture taken at the after-party, Cooper was hugging Gaga while his partner was sitting alone on the sofa.
“Is there any chance these 2 aren’t fu**ing?” comedian David Spade tweeted, sharing a picture of Cooper and Gaga performing at the Oscars.
Jennifer Esposito, 45, Cooper’s ex-wife, poked the rumors by simply responding with “Ha” below Spade’s post.
Speaking of her ex-husband in her 2014 memoir, Jennifer wrote:
“He was funny, smart, cocky, arrogant, and a master manipulator. I didn’t necessarily find him that attractive, but I figured that I could enjoy his sense of humor and nonsense for a while.
“We had fun, but he also had a mean, cold side. His personality could flip on a dime … It wasn’t all bad all the time, so I figured this was just my lot, and I took the good with the bad, even though the bad was extremely bad.
“Within days, my relationship hit an all-time low, and within a week, it was over. Abruptly, rudely, and with the exact callousness that I’d come to expect from him, but this time, I did nothing but agree to end it.”
Other users quickly joined the debate and suggested that Irina is either clueless about the chemistry between Gaga and Cooper or a very good actress.
“BRADLEY COOPER LADY GAGA GET A ROOM BUBBA,” The Iron Sheik wrote, speaking of the pair’s emotional performance.
“And with those opening notes, Lady Gaga is now expecting Bradley Cooper’s child,” another person joked.
One fan said: “Based on the Internet reaction I think legally speaking Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper have to get married and have a baby now or it’s a felony.”
