Some people just change their career path when they find their true calling like Sherif Farag. Farag was working in the department of Management Consulting and Business Strategy for the last 15 years at McKinsey in New York.
After working in the same career path for the last 15 years, Farag decided to step out of the comfort zone and start doing something that he has a passion for like having his bakery.
When he was asked about his dream job, he said without any nervousness that he would want to own a bakery. While he was on vacation with his wife, Nadine in Europe, he told her how he dreams of having his place in the countryside and bake loaves of bread.
Nadine suggested him to opt for a course to see if his passion is strong enough to continue with and if he would want to work on making it successful.
After doing a session for one week, he understood that this is what he wants to do now. So he left his job to pursue his much bigger dream of having a bakery.
Farag’s wife was completely supportive of his idea, and they both sifted to Paris for six months to attend the intensive program. After doing the intensive program, the couple moved back to their home and opened a bakery named Farag Breads.
Nadine thinks that life is full of surprises at different times, and all you need to do is go out of your comfort zone to make your dreams come to reality.
Everything doesn’t have to succeed, but you need to work harder to make it work. It is inspiring how this couple decided to move out of their comfort zone to pursue their dreams.
