When Chris Pratt was on the stage of the MTV Music Awards to accept the Generation Award, he gave a three-minute speech titled ‘Nine Rules From Chris Pratt, Generation Award-Winner.’
“Rule No. 1, breathe. If you don’t, you will suffocate. No. 2, you have a soul, be careful with it. No. 3, don’t be a turd.”
He went on with some useful tips on how to feed your dog medicine and how to earn your way before he delivered the riskiest piece of advice to millions of people watching.
“Rule No. 6, God is real. God loves you. God wants the best for you. Believe that. I do.” Pratt continued and said: “No. 7. If you have to poop at a party, but you’re embarrassed [he shared some strategies on what to do in cases of emergencies]”.
He added: “…No. 8, learn to pray. It’s easy and it’s so good for your soul.” The viewers are wild with applause at that point.
“And finally, No. 9, nobody is perfect. People are going to tell you that you’re perfect just the way you are. You’re not. You are imperfect. You always will be, but there is a powerful force that designed you that way. And if you’re willing to accept that, you will have grace and grace is a gift. And like the freedom that we enjoy in this country, that grace was paid for by somebody else’s blood and do not forget it. Don’t take it for granted. God bless you…”
Pratt is a regular attendee of LA’s Zoe Church along with other A-List Celebrities. Amazing people like Kylie Jenner, Bono, Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez and Kevin Durant.
