In a rare moment, a feline named Joaquim was caught red-handed while it was turning off the alarm.

Joaquim’s owners, from the Sao Carlos region of Sao Paulo, Brazil, decided to film their phone alarm ringing after they were baffled on why they couldn’t wake up on time for work.

Their cat turning off the alarm was the last thing they could have imagined but, it turned out, their cute friend was the real culprit.

The cat kept pawing at the screen until the alarm stopped ringing.

Joaquim’s owners, who chose not to be named, said: “My companion and I were arriving late to work because the phone alarm wasn’t waking us up.

“Recently, we have discovered that our kitty Joaquim was the one who was turning off the alarm.”

It seems the felines have decided to wage a war against us while we sleep. Not convinced? Take Achi for example.

The furry feline would always sit on the face of its owner Lomphonten Lomphontan, from Thailand, whenever he sleeps.

Speaking to The Dodo, Lomphonten said he set up a camera to keep an eye on Achi’s activities while he’s at work.

But when he checked the night recordings, he found something unbelievable.

Achi would climb on its owner’s chest every night. After confirming that its human is asleep, the cat would calmy straddle the fella’s face.

Lomphonten, however, finds this addition attention adorable, saying: “I feel very much in love with him, that he loves me like this. It’s a show of love.”
