A beloved pet cat has passed away in agony after a thug sprayed her body with a waterproof paint the only day after abusing other cats in the area.
13-year-old Miggeli was one of three victims believed to have been abused by the same animal torturer in Biel-Benken, Switzerland.
While the thug sprayed the elderly cat with waterproof paint, the abuser was also accused of shaving and breaking the bones of two other victims in previous attacks.
“Her entire body and especially her face was sprayed with waterproof yellow paint,” Sina Kunz, Miggeli’s owner, said, adding that her beloved pet fell into a critical state and died three days after the attack.
According to Sina, she is convinced that the person responsible for the attack is the same thug who abused several other cats in the area.
Before reporting the incident to the authorities, Kunz has found out that other cat owners from the area also reported animal abuse cases in recent days.
One of the reports included a 1-year-old cat named Gringo who the owner found with broken front legs and a broken jaw. In addition, the cat’s entire body was shaved.
In another attack, the animal torturer shaved 6-year-old Haxli and brutally cut off her whiskers and claws. According to the vet responsible for the pet’s treatment, the abuser most likely used pliers to commit the horrific act.
“A normal person would not do something like that… I think whoever did this really needs some serious help,” the vet said in an interview with the local media.
Following the incidents, a police spokesman confirmed the authorities are investigating all attacks and believe they were committed by the same person.
