They recently came up with a bread designed to look like a cat. The bread is just good old plain white bread we know.

You can take inspiration from the work of this Japanese bakery whose name literally translates to “Cat Cat Bread” and we think it couldn’t have a more appropriate name.

If you decide to make this bread at home, the recipe is just like any simple loaf of bread, the shape is the distinctive feature.

For anyone planning to bake bread at home, chef Peter Sidwell has some advice that can come in handy during the quarantine days.

Peter says: “Bread flour is sometimes described as strong flour as there is a higher protein level in the flour.

“This means more gluten, so when you knead the bread, the dough becomes stretchy and that will help hold the air inside when it is left to rise.”

The chef also says that the key to making good bread is to avoid adding flour while kneading.

He says: “When kneading the bread, it is really important to avoid adding any additional flour if possible, as the more flour you add, the tighter the dough will become and you will end up with a dough that cant expand and rise due to the amount of flour.”
