Aside from dogs, people also love to keep cats as pets. However, while dogs are often playful and enthusiastic, cats tend to be brooding and moody. It doesn’t mean that they aren’t loyal or caring. It’s just that they don’t show their affection the way dogs would do.
That uncompromising nature of cats can lend itself to some hilarious moments just as 19-year-old Serena Asfan, from Albuquerque, USA, found out when she tried to tell her cat to stop eating.
Asfan was filming her three-year-old cat Tiramisu when her cat suddenly started munching on the grass to her side. Any pet owner has the instinctive desire to make sure their pet doesn’t inadvertently eat anything unhealthy from outside so she told Tiramisu to stop.
If Tiramisu was a dog, you’d expect the animal to immediately back away. But being a cat, how did Tiramisu react? She rolled her eyes at Asfan, of course.
Asfan immediately shared the video online and her post went viral with roughly two million views and a flood of comments and likes pouring in from around the world.
Asfan said: “It was such a lucky video to get because it’s the last thing anyone would expect a cat to do.
“I let my cat explore our backyard for a bit and she started eating the grass, I told her to stop because she usually throws up every time she eats grass so this time I scolded her for it and she rolled her eyes at me.
“She is a very loving cat once she is comfortable around you, she loves being petted, she loves cuddles and loves to sleep anywhere and everywhere except for the bed I bought for her.
“I can’t believe how much the video blew up online, so many people were commenting and sharing it, it’s currently got just under two million views and is still growing.”
Although Asfan posted the video in the spirit of humor, some people still misunderstood and criticized Asfan for it.
She said: “A lot of people on Twitter were upset that I scolded her for eating grass because cats eat grass to help their digestive system.
“I knew this already and the video was taken as a joke, but unfortunately, some people on the internet can’t take a joke.”
