Pets are just like babies, no matter what they do, you have to take care of them.

Other than that, you have to take special care of what and when are they eating something because just like kids, animals are also prone to several illnesses and they cannot make out a difference between the things they should eat and they should not eat.

This is what happened with the poor cat Ruby that liked the taste of salt stone lamp that was in her home but the poor baby had no idea that the sodium from the stone can even kill her.

Maddie Smith saw that her cat was not behaving like her usual self one day but without thinking much about it, she assumed that it is the weather that is making her act weird.

Ruby had her head hanged low and was walking in a weird way. Maddie Smith covered her baby up in a warm blanket and left her inside her cage before leaving for work that day.

When she came back home after she knew something was extremely wrong with her cat because she was behaving like an animal right before its death. The otherwise active and excited cat was cuddled up in her bed, without eating, drinking, looking or even standing up.

She then rushed Ruby to the vet and where the vet was shocked to see the baby in this condition. She took on a few tests and all of them came out fine but the blood test report was the one explaining Ruby’s condition.

She had high sodium levels in her blood that affected her brain and this was affecting her neurological working. Her limbs, sensory organs or any other part of her body was out of her control.

The doctors found out that Ruby had been licking on the salt stone lamp and this is how she got sick. This generally happens to dogs and the vets were shocked to see the case for a cat.

Maddie Smith wrote a plea to other pet owners to take care of it and the same was then shared by the vets in social media. Ruby is doing better now and is working on her condition.
