Casey Anthony, who was dubbed the most hated mother in America, has launched her own private investigation company in Florida according to the Daily Mail.
As DailyMail.com first reported, the 34-year-old has already filed documentation for her new firm called Case Research & Consulting Services.
It was the year 2011 when Anthony was acquitted on charges related to the death of her daughter, two-year-old Caylee Anthony.
The mother was found guilty of providing false information and was sentenced to four years in prison following her daughter’s disappearance in the summer of 2008.
Authorities searched the Orlando area for four months until a cadaver dog picked up the child’s scent in the trunk of Anthony’s vehicle. Her skeletal remains were later found in a wooded area near the family’s home.
While Anthony got accused of suffocating her daughter before dumping her remains in a wooded area near their house by the prosecutors, the mother was cleared of first-degree murder and aggravated manslaughter of a child by the jury.
Instead, she was found guilty of providing false information to law enforcement – a charge that came with a more lenient sentence.
The verdict resulted in public outrage and was both defended and attacked by legal commentators and media.
According to the state business records, Anthony registered a photography business called Case Photography in 2015 but it was dissolved three years later.
The filing for Case Research & Consulting Services LLC is under Anthony’s name and its address is in West Palm Beach according to Florida Division of Corporation filing.
The company is registered to a home owned by Patrick McKenna, a veteran private detective and the lead investigator on her defense team during the 2011 trial.
While Anthony can access public records and criminal backgrounds, she will never be able to hold a private investigator license in Florida due to her felony conviction of lying to the authorities.
