Cardi B Needs To Be In Prison For Her ‘Crimes Of Survival’

Rapper Cardi B is both rich and famous, but reporter Matt Walsh of The Daily Wire doesn’t really understand why.

However, an Instagram video she recorded three years ago has raised serious questions and leads Walsh to wonder why she hasn’t already been prosecuted for what she admitted in those videos.

Normally, old comments and social media posts made by people years ago should not be a reason to beat them over the head with them. But everything changes if the post in question is practically a confession of a violent crime.

The said video shows Cardi B bragging about how she used to lure men from the strip club where she worked and led to a hotel. She would then drug them and subsequently rob them as they were out cold. While she doesn’t list how many times she did this, the way she told the story suggests that she did this extracurricular activity more than once.

When this confession was brought to light, she released a barely coherent statement this week where she basically refused to apologize for what she did and justified what she did by saying she had “limited options” and that robbing men were necessary in order to “survive.”

Strangely enough, a lot of her fans seem to accept this reasoning. This includes a writer for Vox who opined that the star will survive the scandal because she only committed a “crime of survival” and shouldn’t be held to the same standards as Bill Cosby or R. Kelly were.

Walsh counters with the following: “I guess I have a different concept of what constitutes survival.point 87 | Cardi B has recently boasted that she made upwards of $3,000 a night as a stripper.point 155 | She says she had 20 grand — all in singles — saved by the age of 21 (cc: IRS).point 219 |

Are we supposed to believe that a woman who was raking in thousands a night, and had 20,000 one-dollar bills lying around her apartment, might have had no choice but to commit a series of robberies in order to stave off starvation? That is absurd, of course.point 212 |

She robbed those men purely out of greed.point 34 | And she’s not sorry about it.point 64 | She’d do it again, it seems if the rap money dries up.point 113 | point 116 | 1

The rapper’s line of reasoning puts her statements during a recent brainstorming session under a new light. She had suggested that women should drug cheating men and trick them into sleeping with transsexuals. Given her recent statements, it makes one wonder if she had already tried this type of vengeance herself.

Walsh then points out that if you had met Cardi B in 2011 or 2012, she likely may have tried to knock you out with drugs and rob you blind. Now she’s a wealthy pop star who has appeared in commercials and endorses brands such as Pepsi and Amazon. You can’t get more irony than that.

He then concludes with the following, “If we are going to overlook these sordid biographical details, let’s be honest and admit that we’re okay with it because she’s a woman.point 165 | The ‘survival’ excuse doesn’t wash for a woman who was making more money in one night as a stripper than most people make in a pay period.point 287 |

She was simply a lowlife and a criminal — and she still is the former.point 58 | Perhaps the latter, too.point 79 | Who knows? And if she is allowed to continue along in her career unimpeded, it will be solely due to her gender — female privilege of the most extreme and insidious kind.point 220 |
