“Honestly, I don’t know how much I’m going to be able to do,” the 43-year-old admitted. “I don’t really have as much motion, as much strength, dexterity … So, it’s really just a matter of continuing to do rehab.”

While Buddy confirmed that the wounds he had suffered when his hand was impaled have healed, his fingers still feel “numb and stiff” due to severe nerve damage he had suffered.

“I’d say I’m probably at, like, 10 or 15 percent of the strength that I used to have,” the baker added. “It’s just really gonna be a matter of time to see exactly what comes back with the nerve too.”

As Buddy’s representative previously revealed in an interview with People, the bowling accident occurred at the TV star’s home as a bowling pinsetter malfunctioned, prompting Buddy to attempt to remove the pin from the mechanism manually.

According to the People, the 43-year-old’s dominant right hand then “became lodged and compressed inside the unit” before getting repeatedly impaled by a metal rod.

Buddy was eventually rescued from the mechanism by his two sons, aged 13 and 16, who cut through the rod using a saw.

Since the accident, the popular baker already underwent three surgeries and faces several more.

“I still have my hand right. I could’ve lost fingers and could’ve went through my wrist and been a lot worse. So, I’m taking it day by day and cake by cake,” Buddy optimistically told ET.
