Cake Boss Buddy Valastro Fears He Won’t Be Able To Bake Again After Freak Accident

, the beloved baker best known for being the main star of the reality television show Cake Boss, fears he won’t be able to bake again after getting his right hand impaled multiple times in a freak bowling accident.

As the 43-year-old Carlo’s Bakery owner revealed in his social media posts days ago, he was involved in a “really bad accident” at his New Jersey home.

“Hey guys, Buddy here, I had a really bad accident the other day at my house with my hand … thank you for all your love and support, we’re going to get through this together,” Buddy explained.

While the baker is already in recovery, he has expressed his fears over his ability to use his dominant right hand in his future baking projects.

“It’s really preliminary right now, but they’re saying it’s definitely going to be a long road to recovery… I have a thing with my hands. If I get a paper cut on my hand, I’m p***ed off,” Buddy said according to People.

“My hands to me are my lifeline of everything I do. And I wonder, ‘Am I ever going to do what I used to be able to do?’”

According to the popular baker, he is currently recovering at his Montville home in the presence of his wife Lisa and their kids.

“He is an excellent patient. He will bake again, even if he has to use his left hand. Trust me,” Lisa vowed.

As Buddy’s representative previously revealed in an interview with People, the bizarre bowling accident occurred at the TV star’s home as a bowling pinsetter malfunctioned, prompting Buddy to attempt to remove the pin from the mechanism manually.

According to the People, the 43-year-old’s dominant right hand then “became lodged and compressed inside the unit” before getting repeatedly impaled by a metal rod.

Buddy was eventually rescued from the mechanism by his two sons, aged 13 and 16, who cut through the rod using a saw.

Following surgeries at NJ’s Morristown Memorial Hospital and Manhattan’s Hospital for Special Surgery, the Cake Boss star was sent home where he is in for a long recovery.
