One of the problems that our society faces every day is sexual harassment.

Regardless of age, many women suffer from bothering glances and whistles to physical and sexual abuse. Unfortunately, not all people who witness such incidents are willing to stop the situation.

When one mother and daughter were harassed by six big men, bystanders ignored them as they were scared of what could happen if they intervene. Luckily, one man was brave enough to step in and came to their assistance.

Andreas Neuman was waiting at a public train transform in November 2017 when he noticed two women surrounded by six big men. He saw that the men formed a closed circle around the mother and her daughter, and it was evident that the two women were uncomfortable with the situation.

“When the women tried to get out of the ring the guys pushed them back in again,” Neuman told newspaper Arbetarbladet.

Seeing one man tapped the women on their bottoms made Neuman furious. Even though he was outnumbered, he decided to do something about it.

“I ran towards them and I was tackled into the ring,” Neuman shared. “Things got messy and I fell down on the ground with one of the guys. Then they all just ran off.”

Although the six men were bigger than him, that didn’t stop him from following his intuitions. Luckily, no one was harmed and everything went well.

Neuman also admitted that he was annoyed by the fact that other bystanders didn’t bother to help the mother and her daughter.

“I think it was disgusting that people did not intervene,” he expressed.
