He paid £50,000 as a deposit for a car which would cost him £184,000. Its original price is £147,000, but it augments to £184,000 because of the extra features he ordered. The entire deal was set by his assistant.

The shipment was made in November to the island where the businessman lived, but it was barred from the features he specifically ordered. On enquiring, the dealership asserted that no such extra features were part of the sales contract. Listening to the arguments of both the sides, it was concluded that mistake was made on the part of the mediator, the Assistant.

Not paying attention to the mistake made on the part of his assistant, Chu declined to pay the remaining balance for his Panamera rather he insisted that his deposit of £50,000 be given back to him.

But the dealership proved to be even more stubborn than him; they stood their ground and refused to pay his deposit back to him. Instead, the dealership warned him that if he decided to contravene the sales agreement, then they would keep his deposit of £50,000. He was given five days’ notice for the same.
