A Denver business owner has taken the issue of a fine imposed on him by the city administration to the court.

The city fined the businessman for refusing to clean the waste of homeless people who used to defecate in front of the business almost every day.

According to Jawaid Bazyar, the chief executive of an internet service provider in Colorado, Downtown Denver, appears like a sin city. He establishes that the city has become a “bathroom stall” and has an abundance of feces, crime and used syringes from druggies.

“The wall is a bathroom stall. They lean up against it and let it rip, in downtown Denver, that’s nonstop now, just piles of poop,” Bazyar told Fox31 KDVR.

“There’s food, trash, drug deals, in the alley, we get the defecation, drug needles,” he told CBS Denver.

A financial controller working for Bazyar’s company, Tamara Chapman, told KDVR: “I’ve been chased with a 2-by-4, a knife, a pipe. A man bashed in my windshield with a rock.”

Bazyar said he had to ask for help from law enforcement agencies multiple times to get rid of the homeless from his property and he can no longer keep cleaning their mess because it is a biohazard.

“Because it’s a bio-hazard. It could be infectious. I didn’t hire these people to clean poop off the ground. I can’t, as an employer, just say, ‘Go and clean up the feces,’” said Bazyar.

“I’m not the one doing this, and they won’t do anything about the people committing the crimes, but I’m the one who’s easy to find and easy to punish.”

Bazyar further said that the police hardly ever respond to his calls and the public health department issued him a number of warnings over the situation before finally imposing a hefty fine on him.

“If the city’s not going to enforce laws against trespassing, or camping, or public defecation and just make me bare the cost of these problems that’s just not right,” Bazyar told CBS News.

“I don’t even know what I’m supposed to do. The government’s primary job is public safety. I think it’s a lot of politicians don’t want to be seen as anti-homeless or heartless,” he told KDVR.
