Bungee Jumper Breaks His Spine After He Plunges As Harness Snaps In Mid-Air


A bungee jumper has broken his spine after his harness snapped in mid-air!

The 39-year-old man jumped from the 330ft. platform in Poland when his harness broke. Many people saw the horrifying incident while others caught it on camera.

In the distressing video, the man was seen riding a crane where he was raised into the air while spectators watched from the ground.

But after he jumped from the platform, the rope suddenly snapped off the straps attaching his ankles to the chord. He fell 100 meters headfirst, landing on a huge airbag. People ran over to check if the man was okay.

He was conscious when the accident happened and rushed to a hospital, according to news website Trojmiasto.pl.

The bungee jumper is said to have suffered several injuries to internal organs and a broken spine. Even though the spine was broken, the spinal cord was fine and he should be able to move once he has recovered.

A spokesman for Bungeeclub said that he was in a ‘good condition’ when they left the hospital.

They wrote on Facebook: “The most important – the health of the participant of the unfortunate jump is no serious danger. He didn’t break his spine!! After a medical examination at the emergency room, he was considered good.

“All equipment used by our company has all the required certificates. Jumps are carried out by qualified and experienced instructors according to all procedures.

“As the only bungee jumping company in Poland we use professional skokochronu – so-called. “Pillows”. And it was because of this and our foresightedness that there was no tragedy.”

They added later that day: “We would like to inform you that when our instructor left the ER at night, the condition of the jumper was good.”
