It often seems as if it is a never-ending story that we don’t have the solution for. Nevertheless, spreading the awareness about it is one way of addressing this human-made issue, and that’s exactly what a mother of one bullied boy did.

Daniel Briggs was only a 16-year-old high school student when he committed suicide. According to his mother, Amy Briggs, he was a gentle soul who loved nature and staying outdoors. He was also a caring person and was looking forward to entering the college life. “He had a soft side of him that was second-to-none for a kid his age,” Amy says in her anti-bullying video.

Despite his tries, Daniel had a hard time socializing with other classmates at school which is why they started picking on him. He was frequently mocked and physically abused. What used to be small acts of harassment soon evolved into severe bullying. As his mother explained, he was being pushed around, punched, had trash thrown at him, and was even forced to lick the window of a bus.
