Hero Brother Received 90 Stitches After Saving His Little Sister From Dog Attack


Celebrities have been praising the young boy who risked his life to save his little sister after she was charged by a dog.

6-year-old Bridger Walker from Cheyenne, Wyoming, was mauled by a charging dog after blocking the animal’s path to protect his younger sister.

According to the brave brother’s family, Bridger had been bitten on the face several times before taking his sister’s hand and leading her to safety.

Following the incident, Nicole Walker, Bridger’s aunt, presented the young boy’s story on Instagram and asked the internet for help in getting “words of encouragement from his favorite heroes.”

Soon enough, the auntie’s plea went viral and the request was noted by Hollywood star Anne Hathaway who called Bridger a superhero.

After the actress shared the story, Avengers star Mark Ruffalo joined in with a wise message for the young hero.

“Dear Bridger, I just read about what happened to you and I wanted to reach out to say this… People who put the well beings of others in front of themselves are the most heroic and thoughtful people I know,” the Hulk actor wrote.

“I truly respect and admire your courage and your heart. Real courage isn’t dominating people or fighting against people or walking around like a tough guy.

Along with Bridger’s story, Walker also shared pictures that show the young boy’s swollen face and some 90 stitched that he received after the dog attack.

The proud aunt also shared Bridger’s thoughts on the heroic rescue whereas the little hero allegedly said: “If someone had to die, I thought it should be me.”

As the family confirmed, they “feel no resentment” towards the owners of the dog that attacked Bridger and his sister.

“I’d also like to mention here that the dog’s owners are really great people who have been nothing but kind to Bridger and his family,” Walker wrote.

“We feel no resentment toward them at all, and if anything there’s only been an increase of love between our families as a result of this incident.”
