If you have younger siblings, do you remember the moment when you were introduced to them for the very first time? Was it a time of joy and excitement, knowing that you were gaining a new playmate at home and someone to spend time with just before going to bed? Or was it a stressful time, thinking of all the attention that will be drawn away from you once your younger sibling gets home?
Any of those initial reactions could have an effect on how your relationship with your younger sibling evolved although hopefully, any feelings of jealousy or insecurity will be outgrown with time.
But in the following video, this looks like it’s a case of anticipation and excitement when a young boy finally met his baby sister for the very first time. The mother tenderly places the baby girl in front of the boy and introduces him.
And the boy can only react with happiness and even plants a sweet kiss on his sister. He does say that the baby keeps wiggling around but the mother explains that this is because the baby girl is happy at seeing her brother.
The mother jokingly asks if he’s going to be mean or be good to her and it’s clear that this big brother plans to be the latter. And that’s the best thing that can happen because big brothers really should be there for their little sisters, especially during those teen years when the girl is starting to explore the world of crushes and dating. You wouldn’t want to mess with a girl who has a big brother looking after her!

It’s clear that the boy still doesn’t fully understand the differences between boy and girl because the boy asks about his baby sister’s “weenie” and the mom has to explain while laughing that she doesn’t have one because she isn’t a boy.
Those innocent mistakes should be expected and the tender way he asked them bodes well for the future of these two.
