A 21-year-old has become Britain’s youngest grandmother after marrying a 56-year-old grandfather.
21-year-old Becca Keeley and 56-year-old Mark, from Gravesend, Kent, got married two years ago after meeting at a concert despite being told not to get married because of their age gap.
Becca was just 16 at the time and was told to find someone her own age.
Despite this, the couple got married two years ago and now have a child of their own – a four-month-old daughter Presley.
After the birth of seven-month-old Mollie, Becca has become Britain’s youngest grandmother at 21.
Mark, who is a singer, was performing with his band at a concert when he was 51. Becca, who was 16 at the time, met Mark at the concert.
Mark has four kids from his previous relationships – Aaron, 27, Jake, 21, Luke, 16, and Emma, 13.
Becca, who is six years younger than Mark’s oldest child, told that even Mark told her initially to find someone her own age.
Becca said: “Mark said I surely wouldn’t want to be called nan but his family are my family.”
Mark said he told Becca to find someone her own age because a lot of people were against their relationship.
But, he is happy they tried and are now happily married for two years.
Mark said: “A lot of people thought it was wrong. I told her to find someone her own age but we made each other so happy we decided to try and conquer it.”
In 2018, the couple got married at the Maidstone register office in Kent in front of their families and 300 guests.
Mark regularly performs live and has recently released a new album called Return to Sender.
While Becca, who has become Britain’s youngest grandmother at 21, says she doesn’t mind being called a grandmother.
