Sue Radford, the mother of Britain’s largest family, is carrying her 22nd baby in her womb.
This was revealed by Radford and her husband Noel in a YouTube video where they showed Radford’s latest ultrasound reports.
The couple previously announced their last child, born in 2018, to be their final one. But in the latest video, the couple from Morecambe, Lancashire, just denied everything about that child being their last one.
Radford said in the video: “So now you know guys, we’re having a baby. We’re just coming up to 15 weeks pregnant and we’ll be able to find out the gender of the baby soon.”
Radford also said that she’ll be bringing the child to the world the coming April and she wishes she has a boy.
She said: “I wonder if it will be 11 of each – I am feeling a bit boy.”
The massive family lives in a gargantuan 10-bedroom house and despite all the expenditure on so many children, they claim just around $230 in child benefits every week.
The expenses of the large family are covered from the money Noel earns from his Bakery. The house was bought by him back in 2004 for around $300,000.
Noel was so serious about stopping more members to the family that he even went for a vasectomy when his wife was pregnant with the eleventh baby.
However, after some time, he reversed his decision and the procedure.
According to the Daily Mail, the family consists of “Chris, 30, Sophie, 25, Chloe, 23, Jack, 22, Daniel, 20, Luke, 18, Millie, 17, Katie, 16, James, 15, Ellie, 14, Aimee, 13, Josh, 12, Max, 11, Tillie, nine, Oscar, seven, Casper, six, Hallie, three, Phoebe, two, Archie 18 months” and a last one born in November 2018.
Only Chris and Sophie are independent and all others still live with Noel and Radford. Sophie is married and has 3 children.
The food alone costs the family nearly $500 a week and cleaning the 10-bedroom home is a three-hour job every day.
If the family decides to eat out, it costs a minimum of $200. And you can just imagine the tour cost of a family having more than 20 members.
Even then the family has visited Florida and is planning to have their next vacations in the Netherlands.
Washing happens every day of the week and as a matter of fact, as much as 18 kg of clothes are washed daily.
With a family like that, something as small as going to the cinema can cost a fortune. This family needs to have at least $140 to go for the movie, for the tickets alone.
The family initially became famous back in 2008 when they disclosed they wanted to have a dozen children.
Radford spoke to FEMAIL in July, saying: “We do like to go to the cinema, especially in the holidays when the kids are a bit bored, it’s raining and there’s not much else for them to do.
“But it can be up to £10($12) per person so it can work out really expensive!”
According to a survey by Compare the Market, an average family spends around $700 for kids’ entertainment during one summer break. However, for the Radfords, just a trampolining trip can cost $300.
To keep the budget as low as possible, Radford does anything in her power to save the last cent she can.
“Believe it or not, we don’t tend to get group discounts because we find family tickets are usually for two adults and two children – and obviously there’s a lot of us,” she explained.
“We often look for the different discount codes you can find on the internet and go with whatever offers they’ve got on.”
She added: “A lot of our best days out have been packing up a picnic and just going for a walk with the kids, or going to a park, or to the beach – and they’re all free days out.”
