Several million Brits throughout the country took to their houses’ doorsteps for the 4th week running to appreciate and express gratitude to frontline staff amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
The individuals have again shown their appreciation for important workers including emergency services, teachers, and supermarket staff.
Manchester United Football Club also joined this latest round of celebration by lighting up the Old Trafford in blue color and spelling out NHS United through their club sign to pay tribute to NHS workers in the U.K.
This comes after the death toll in the NHS staff crossed 45.
A No10 spokesperson noted that millions of Brits and the Prime Minister clapped for the carers in the evening to express gratitude for the outstanding efforts of the care workers, nurses, and doctors in the country.
Carrie Symonds noted that she clapped harder than she ever had that evening to thank the healthcare workers. Even Captain Tom Moore, the 99-year-old army veteran, who raised £16 million+ for the NHS workers was appreciated widely.
32 years old Carrie who is the Prime Minister’s fiance and expecting a child with him was amongst those who clapped in the Clap For Carers event that was held for the third time.
She tweeted that she was clapping harder than ever that night for the carers, and called them the best of Britain.
She added that she was also clapping for Tom Moore as well who was able to raise £16 million+ for the NHS workers. She added that Tom has not only raised such a significant amount but also inspired everyone.
Carrie was reunited with her fiancé Boris Johnson on Sunday after the PM had spent more than a week in St. Thomas’ Hospital and three nights in the intensive care as he was battling coronavirus.
This event touched the hearts of the healthcare workers who were extremely happy to receive such appreciation. Even the politicians and actors went to their doorsteps and applauded for the key carers.
