A bride was left “heartbroken” after receiving a wedding dress that looked nothing like what she had ordered.
Like many people nowadays, 23-year-old Meaghan from Prince Edward Island, Canada, resorted to online shopping to find her dream wedding dress ahead of her big day which is set to take place next summer.
While the bride-to-be ordered what appeared like a stunning white gown with a lace design, she was shocked when the item arrived looking nothing like what was shown on the photos advertising the product.
Despite receiving a disastrous-looking, poor-fitting dress, the 23-year-old managed to get a laugh out of the incident after getting over the initial shock.
“I was blown away by what I received. It looked nothing like the photo when I ordered it. I was pretty heartbroken, but I couldn’t help but laugh,” the Stratford town resident said.
After receiving the dress, Meaghan confronted the seller and requested a refund due to the dress looking nothing like the gown seen in their photos.
“I did ask for my money back. But they had told me I needed the original packaging and the box it had come in, which I didn’t keep. I then proceeded to tell them that this ruined my wedding as I was expecting the dress in the photo,” she added.
Eventually, the seller agreed to refund the 23-year-old, meaning she’ll now get another chance at choosing her wedding dress.
Sharing the photo in which she’s seen wearing the ill-fitting product online, Meaghan encouraged other social media users to show their “online fails” as well.
“It was too funny not to post. I’m sure a lot of people will get a kick out of it. I’m glad it made everyone else’s day just like it did mine,” the bride-to-be concluded.
