So, when one bride from Norway tied the knots with the love of her life, she decided to add a special touch to her wedding – and what she did, moved the entire church to tears!

On the wedding day of Ronny Eidsvik and Mary Holand Tosse, everything was going just like all other weddings until Mary set foot into the aisle with her father.

All the guests were on their feet when the doors of Ålesund church opened and Mary entered with her father.

The organ started playing the traditional “Wedding March” by Mendelssohn, but then, as the bride walked a few steps with her father, she suddenly drew out a microphone in her hand. What came next was something totally unconventional that left everyone present there in awe.

Mary started to sing “You Raise Me Up” and filled the church with her melodious voice instead of quietly walking down the aisle in the traditional manner.

She continued to sing in lovely tones as she walked holding her father’s arm. A lovely choir in the balcony was beautifully backing up the song originally composed by Irish-Norwegian duo Secret Garden.

The bride’s beautiful voice moved the groom to tears but another surprise was yet to come.

Her father had also prepared a couple of lines to sing on the occasion. As she passed him the mic, he sang:

“And now it’s time to give away my daughter

You know it’s time so please take care of her”

The bride then added:

“I know he will

He loves me more than ever

And now it’s time to finally say, ‘I do'”

Everyone present there, especially Ronny, was moved by the bride’s emotional performance.
