A bride-to-be is charging guests money to attend her wedding so she can get back the money she spent on her big day.
Her cousin took to Reddit and posted on Reddit’s ‘Am I The A****le’ forum that she is not going to attend her cousin’s wedding because she is charging guests money.
The cousin revealed that the bride-to-be is charging guests a $50 entry fee. But the cousin decided not to attend the wedding as she said she’s a student and can’t waste money like this.
The cousin wrote: ‘I’m a 19 year old student, i don’t have a lot of debt, but i can’t be throwing my money around like i’m rich. i have a cousin (26) her wedding is on sunday, we’re not really close, but we do have an okay relationship.’
‘She made an announcement this week saying that she’ll be charging 50 dollars for every guest who’s coming. she said that they can venmo her the money so there won’t be no problems and everyone who paid will be added onto the “exclusive guest list” which basically means you won’t have to wait in line while other guests pay.’
The cousin was left shocked and when she asked her why she was doing this, the bride-to-be said she wanted the money back that she spent on her wedding.
The cousin told her she wouldn’t be able to come. The bride-to-be told her mother and the mother called the cousin cheap and rude.
The cousin’s parents offered to pay for her $50 entry fee but the cousin refused.

She asked Redditors, ‘AITA for refusing to go to my cousin’s wedding because she’s making guests pay to enter?’
The Redditors supported her and slammed the bride for charging a $50 entry fee from guests. They said this is the most ridiculous thing they have ever heard and called her ‘tacky’.
