A man who looks like fugitive Brian Laundrie has spoken out and revealed that his resemblance to the missing man constantly gets him in trouble.
The unidentified man, who created a TikTok account known as @notbrianlaundrie, went viral after sharing a clip in which he reassured the public that he is not the 23-year-old wanted man whom the FBI and other law enforcement agencies have been looking for since his disappearance on September 19.
As the doppelganger insisted, he just wants to “put all of these rumors to death” and ask viewers for advice on how to deal with people who harass him and accuse him of being Brian Laundrie.
He also shared a clip of another TikToker who falsely accused him of being the wanted man after spotting him at a party and capturing him on camera.
Though both Brian Laundrie and the doppelganger appear to have a bald head, similar complexion, and remarkably similar beard, there is one major difference that sets the two apart. Can you spot it?
As it happens, Brian Laundrie has dark eyes, whereas his lookalike, who racked up millions of views on TikTok solely because of his resemblance to the wanted man, appears to have grey or light-green eyes.
Taking to social media to share his story, the lookalike asked people for advice on dealing with unpleasant confrontations involving self-proclaimed detectives who believe they’re about to crack the case.
“I’m flying across the country tomorrow for my cousin’s wedding, and it’s a pretty long flight,” he said.
“So if you have any tips for me on how not to get attacked or accused of being this guy, get at me. Duet this or leave a comment.”
In another video, the man is seen at the airport waiting to board his flight while disguising his face with a grey face covering and reflective sunglasses to avoid unpleasant confrontations.
