Breonna Taylor’s ex-boyfriend, Jamarcus Glover, 30, has been arrested on drug trafficking charges.
He was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections after warrants were issued for his arrest on charges including possession of drug paraphernalia, complicity tampering with physical evidence, and trafficking illegal substances. His bond is set at $50,000.
This comes as leaked police documents revealed he had mail sent to Taylor’s address and even gave her contact number as his own.
The 26-year-old emergency medical technician was shot eight times in her apartment when three officers performed a no-knock arrest warrant on March 13.
No cash or drugs were found at Taylor’s home and Glover had been arrested at his home before the raid at her apartment.
Five months after her death, protests and outrage continue to build across the nation as the three officers continue to walk free of all charges.
Glover was arrested the night Taylor was shot but he was released on bail.
He was arrested Thursday for failing to pay bail on another drug offenses last month, according to a spokesperson for the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, Jeff Cook.
Taylor and Glover had a past relationship but Glover wasn’t the EMT’s boyfriend when she was killed. He was also not at the apartment that night.
According to an affidavit for a search warrant, Glover used Taylor’s residence as his ‘current home address.’
One officer told investigators he believed Taylor was alone in the apartment but she was asleep next to her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker.
Walker said he heard banging at the door and thought it was Glover. He took his legally-owned gun and fired a shot. Police then returned fire and Taylor was shot eight times.
