A football fan recently went viral after he was pictured smoking in the stands before the Bursaspor’s 2-1 win over Fenerbahce.
But it wasn’t because he was puffing away which gained the attention of internet users. People believed it was a child smoking next to another boy.
The footage quickly went viral and people were surprised and angry that a little boy was being allowed to do such a thing.
Yes, he looks as young as the boy sitting next to him. The supporter, who was wearing his scarf and Bursaspor shirt, looks like 8 or 9 years old but he was seen smoking as he and his young companion wait for the game to begin.
When a campaign was launched to determine who the mystery puffer was, his identity and age were finally confirmed.
It turned out that the ‘young boy’ is actually a 36-year-old man who was enjoying the game with his son, according to an Instagram post by Yuregini Koy Ortaya.
It is not yet confirmed whether or not the father will be charged as smoking in public areas is prohibited in Turkey. He could face a fine of 69 Turkish lira (around $11) for smoking in sports stadium.
But that was amazing, huh? The young-looking father is almost 40 but people believed he was no more than 10!
In another photo, he does look around 30 but he still has a youthful appearance.
Fenerbahce and Bursaspor both have huge followings in the country. Beofre the game, the two sides agreed to donate all of their proceeds to charities, including organizations that help people with illnesses and children with health conditions.
