Confidence is always a good thing and is one attribute that a person should develop as early in their life as possible.
That feeling of having the capability to do something and accomplish anything will really work wonders later on in life.
More often than not, there are skilled people who don’t really go far simply because of the lack the confidence to stand up and showcase their capabilities. They don’t want to risk rejection so they always hold themselves back although they would reasonably point out that they were just being careful.
Watch this kid’s mini-tantrum after he volunteered to shovel snow in the video below.

Of course, just as with most things in life, there’s such a thing as having too much of a good thing. And that’s certainly true with confidence or rather, OVER-confidence.
Overconfidence can lead to faulty assessments that may lead you to take on a task that you really are ill-equipped to perform. Being overconfident can also make you ignore those little warning signs that perhaps you should hold back, wait some more, or even ask for help.
There are times when misjudging a situation can be dangerous but there are other times when it leads to hilarious results.
For one kid, that overconfidence led him to volunteer to shovel the snow outside their house, only to realize that it wasn’t as easy as he thought it would be.
The kid’s mother posted a comment about the video, writing: “My son Peyton offered to go shovel the 8 inches of snow we got earlier today but quickly realized he was in over his head. My security cameras caught his mini-tantrum.”
This happened on November 26, 2019, at their home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
It was clear that the boy was regretting his decision but there was no way to back out of it, likely because his pride wouldn’t let him. Still, that didn’t stop him from venting his frustration at the uncaring snow.
But if his mini-tantrum was hilarious, what he did at the end really took the cake!
Either way, let this be a lesson to properly assess the situation before volunteering for anything!
