A five-year-old boy lost his right eye to rare cancer in June 2018. Recently, he received his prosthetic eye and the heartwarming video left everyone teary-eyed.

After being diagnosed with Retinoblastoma, Amello Gardiner, from Freeport, Grand Bahama, in the Bahamas lost his right eye.

On July 2, 2019, the five-year-old got his prosthetic eye that brought a big smile on his face.

His 31-year-old mother Allison Robinson filmed the heart-melting moment that has now gone viral on the Internet.

After the procedure completed, Amello said to his mother: “I want to see, Mummy.”

When Allison showed him a mirror, the five-year-old started beaming with glee.

The mother said: “Our lives changed quickly because it was a lot we had to take on in such a short time frame. I comforted myself by thinking that he had only lost an eye, that he was still with me.”

“Now that Amello has got his prosthetic eye he’s become much bubblier. He’s extremely excited just to look like a normal kid again. He cannot see out of it, but he can move it and it looks like his real eye.”

The heartwarming reaction of the boy was shared online and the video left everyone in tears. One user wrote: ‘God bless this little guy, loved his reaction when he seen how great he looks with it.’
