According to BuzzFeed News, Lt. Nick Street spoke out to them and confirmed that a patrol trooper in Ogden stopped a driver whom they suspected of experiencing medical issues or being impaired due to heavily reduced speed.

Allegedly, the boy was driving at 32 mph on Interstate 15 where the speed limit is 70 mph.

“There’s a curve in the road and he was kind of having a hard time making the curve,” Street told BuzzFeed News.

After the boy was pulled over and approached by the officer, he was allegedly sitting on the edge of the driver’s seat with his feet pressed against the brake and tears in his eyes.

As the 5-year-old told the police, he stole his parents’ car to drive to California in an attempt to buy a Lamborghini with $3 that he had in his wallet.

According to the reports, the boy escaped from his home while his parents were at work and his babysitter, an older sibling, wasn’t watching.

“He was determined to go get a Lamborghini with the money he had in his wallet. Apparently, he didn’t realize you can get one in Utah,” Street explained.

While it isn’t clear to us whether any charges would be filed against the boy’s parents as of this writing, Street suggested there is “a good chance this won’t reoccur” based on the 5-year-old’s reaction upon getting stopped.
