A 12-year-old boy from New Jersey wanted to help animals get adopted much faster so he decided to create stylish bow ties. Darius Brown donates his creations to animal shelters to help pets grab the attention of future owners.
Brown’s story of fighting against all odds has influenced his determination and his big heart. He was only 2 when he was diagnosed with comprehension, fine motor skills, and speech delay but nothing stopped him from reaching his goals.
When he was 8, he started assisting his older sister by cutting fabric for bows and it helped him develop his fine motor skills. That’s when his incredible talent shone brightly and he wanted to use it to make a positive change.
Brown was only 11 years old when he founded a pet couture company ‘Beaux & Paws.’ When it comes to giving back, it seems that this young CEO knows more about the ways of running a business than many other entrepreneurs today.
The young boy has donated countless bow ties to adoption centers and animal shelters across the UK and the USA.
It is hard to believe that Brown is only 12 but his inspiring story has already been featured in TV shows and publications. He has also been recognized by many public figures, influencers, and celebrities.
In 2018, former president Barrack Obama honored Brown in a letter, saying: “From founding Beaux and Paws to lifting up the lives of those around you, it’s clear you are doing your part to look out for your fellow citizens.
“And I trust you take tremendous pride in all you have accomplished. As long as you stay engaged in the world around you, continue looking for ways to help others and never give up on yourself, I’m confident our future will be bright.”
