A 13-year-old had been contemplating suicide after a gang of bullies viciously attacked him and caused him to end up in a hospital due to the severity of his wounds.
As Vikki Elliott, the mother of 13-year-old Danial Elliott, revealed, the boy was done with classes for the day and was just on his way to her car when the thugs ambushed him on the street on January 24.
Danial, who attends the Beverley Grammar School, was then hit in the back, neck, and face repeatedly as he was approaching his mother’s car.
After the worried mom picked him up, the boy initially tried to hide his injuries. As the pair reached their home, however, the true extent of the consequences of the attack surfaced.

“He looked fine when he got into the car. He said nothing to me which is not unusual and because of the bullying he will dust himself off as he is the eldest sibling,” the mother said.
“We got into the house and he was stomping about I was asking what was wrong. He got into a bit of a confrontation with me before going into the hallway, putting his hands on his head and dragging his nails into his own face.
“He then shouted ‘I might as well kill myself.’”

According to Vikki, who is a mother-of-four, her eldest son has been a victim of bullies ever since starting primary school. Apparently, they have been bullying him over his bowel issues.
“They call him things like ‘smelly’, ‘a toilet,’ they call him all sorts. He doesn’t tell me anything now because he just gets fed up with repeating it,” the 32-year-old mother revealed.
“It’s getting to the point where they are bullying him that badly that he doesn’t want to be around here anymore and before Christmas he threatened to hang himself.
“We are keeping an eye on him but there is nothing we can do to help him with this condition he has got.”

Following the attack, Danial was hospitalized and received a neck brace.
“They could have killed him,” Ms. Elliott added. “One kick in the wrong place could have broken his neck or paralyzed him and the people who did this need to understand that.
“You hear about it all the time – one punch in the wrong place and you can kill someone. They could have left me without my son and his three younger siblings without a brother and that is just devastating to think about.
“They were so worried on Thursday when he was in hospital and losing Danial would have left a big hole in our family.”
Fortunately, brave Danial reported the incident to the police who are now, in cooperation with the school, running an investigation.
Vikki, however, remains reluctant to send her boy back to the school as the bullies who attacked him are still out there.

“He is not ready to go back to school. He is so withdrawn and becomes even more withdrawn when school is mentioned,” she said.
“He is in a lot of pain and I want to doctors to write a note so that the school knows he needs time to recuperate.”
Speaking of the years-long bullying campaign that her son has been subjected to, Ms. Elliott said:
“Bullying is not OK in any form and attacking someone like this is disgusting no matter how old you are.
“Whether you are fully grown, an adult or a teenage boy you should know better and parents should be teaching their children that one punch can kill.”
After the brutal attack, the Humberside Police also urged anyone with information about the boy’s case to reach out and alert the authorities.
“We are investigating the assault on a 13-year-old boy from Beverley. The boy reported that he was walking home from school along Sloe Lane in Beverley on Thursday 24 January when he was attacked from behind by a group of boys,” the spokesperson said.
“He was knocked to the ground and suffered bruising to his body and face in the incident. Anyone with information about the attack should call police on 101 quoting reference 16/18630/19.”
